getting ready

Hi spider bees!
I am in the process of getting my fabric ready to send out and I thought I would post my requests.
I am going to go with:
2. Send my fabric out and request that you each add to what I have sent from your own stash.
Also:
Please feel free to do whatever you like with the scraps I send to you. You can use them in my block, or keep them for your self if you like and use other fabric in my blocks. Please don't send the scraps back to me, I am trying to use them up and I have plenty to go around:)
I found some tea stained muslin that I am going to use as a base for my blocks.
I am also requesting that everyone use the Quiltville tutorial. I have been using it and it is pretty easy to follow.
That is all I can think of for now. I plan on going to the post office on Monday to mail everyone's envelope out.
Personally, I am declaring 2010 a year of getting rid of the excess in my life. Excess fabric, debt, weight, to name a few. Anybody with me???

  1. yahoo- glad to hear fabric is on it's way - and will join in on reducing all the excesses- time to trim down and clean up on all fronts!! Can't wait to see what you've sent!

  3. Anna - I got my packet of fabric from you today! Yay! I had so much fun going through it, oohing and aahing over all the different fabrics. :) So, it looks like we can use whatever fabric scraps we want, no particular theme, color or otherwise, right?

Sorry about my weird comment right above - I had some strange typos and couldn't figure out how to edit them, so I just deleted the whole thing, lol. Oh well!

  4. The only theme I have is scrappy! I am just trying to rid my stash of these scraps I have and I didn't pick any kind of color scheme or otherwise. It might look as though I am trying to do a green ( my fav color ) or christmas ( a lot of scraps from my last project ) but I am not. Those just happen to be what I grabbed from the top of my pile. Have fun!!!

  5. I am very excited to get started on this. I can't wait until Friday is over and life can regain some sort of normalcy. I am tired of cooking and cleaning and changing sheets! :)
I do love my family and friends, but geez, they create a lot of work! haha.
I am also with you on minimizing this year. The first thing I will be working minimizing is my middle. The holidays were not so kind. lol
Can't wait to get your package. I will anxiously be awaiting the postman tomorrow.

  6. For some reason this year I could not say no to a single holiday cookie! I was surprised that the scale didn't move, yeah!, but i think the fat repositioned itself because I certainly feel different, lol ( can fat do that?? )
